MIG 7 Series - Crashes when Read XDC/​UCF option is used in Windows 8.1

Description

Version Found: MIG 7 Series v2.2
Version Resolved: See (Xilinx Answer 54025)

When MIG is generated on a Windows 8.1 64 bit machine, selecting the "Read XDC/UCF" option causes the MIG GUI to crash with the following error message:
 

Failed to generate IP 'mig_7_series_0'. Failed to generate 'Custom UI' outputs.


This occurs with both the "Fixed Pinout mode" and "Verify Pin Changes and Update Design" flows. 

Solution

To work around this issue, manually enter each pin locations into the GUI.
