2014.x Vivado - Simulation scripts generated by tool include "onbreak", "onerror", "quit -force" which prohibit interactive simulation in ModelSim/QuestaSim standalone

In my Vivado IDE simulation settings, the target simulator is set to QuestaSim/ModelSim, and the Generate scripts only option is enabled.

The generated 3-step simulation scripts include "onbreak", "onerror", and "quit -force" which prohibit interactive simulation in ModelSim/QuestaSim standalone.

Can I disable this to allow interaction with the simulation environment?

Will this cause any issues?

These scripts can be modified as required to allow for debugging simulation issues where needed.

From Vivado 2015.1 on, "onbreak" and "onerror" will no longer be written out to these scripts.

Also, the "-quit force" feature can be disabled by setting the following parameter prior to generating the scripts using the "-script_only" switch.

set_param "simulator.quitOnSimulationComplete" 0
