2014.2 SDSoC - Platform list is empty

I have just installed SDSoC and opened the tool.

However, when I go to create a new project, it says 'No SDSoC platforms found'

An empty platform list typically indicates an issue with licensing, the environment, or the installation.

If you open an SDSoC Terminal and execute 'sdscc -sds-pf-list', you should either see a list of platforms or a licensing error.

If your PATH variable is excessively long on Windows, it is possible that sds++ is being truncated, but because in this example you were running a previous install, the license seems like the most likely issue.

You might also see this behavior when running Linux if you do not have the xsltproc utility installed.

If this is the case, you will get the following error when running the 'sdscc -sds-pf-list' command:

couldn't execute 'xsltproc': no such file or directory (xc706_mem_hw.pfm)
couldn't execute xsltproc: no such file or directory"
