LogiCORE IP DisplayPort - Does DisplayPort support Adaptive-Sync or G-Sync by NVIDIA?

Description

G-Sync is a technology from NVIDIA which is used to eliminate screen tearing and the need for software deterrents such as VSYNC.

G-Sync eliminates screen tearing by forcing a video display to adapt to the frame rate of the outputting device rather than the other way around as in traditional methods.

This eliminates the problem where a  refresh could occur halfway through the process of a frame being output by the device, resulting in two frames being shown at once.

In this technology the VSYNC and HSYNC should be adaptive.

Does the Xilinx LogiCORE IP DisplayPort Support this Adaptive-Sync or G-Sync?

Solution

The Xilinx DisplayPort IP does not support Adaptive-Sync or G-Sync technology.
