When routing a single net or pin using -nets, -physical_nets, or -pin, route_design does not give the best QoR.
Is this a known issue?
By default, route_design -nets/-physical_nets/-pin is non-timing driven and uses a quick route approach to find a routing solution for the specified nets.
Use -delay to find a route with the shortest delay.
Alternatively, the -auto_delay option directs the router to try to achieve the shortest routed interconnect delay using the defined timing constraints.
