Why does the output result in distorted colors when VIC=0?

Solution

This is a known issue that can occasionally result in distorted colors when VIC=0.

Switching modes again (either resolution or bit width) usually fixes the issue.

  • 2016.2 - Users can download the HDMI Receiver Subsystem patch from (Xilinx Answer 67703) to work around this issue.
  • 2016.3 - This issue is resolved in the HDMI Receiver Subsystem in Vivado 2016.3 and later and users should update to the latest version of the IP.
