2016.3 SDK - ATF: Suspend/Resume FPD down fails with SDK generated ATF Images

Description

Suspend/Resume FPD down fails with the following messages when using the bl3.elf file generated with the 2016.3 version of SDK.

Solution

The ATF sources that were included with 2016.3 SDK do not contain all the patches that were required to resolve this issue. You can work around the issue by following the steps below.

  1. Download the ATF source files for 2016.3 SDK attached to this Answer Record (arm-trusted-firmware-xilinx-v2016.3.zip) or you can download it from https://github.com/Xilinx/arm-trusted-firmware/releases/tag/xilinx-v2016.3
  2. Extract the source files and replace the files in the folder embeddedsw/lib/sw_apps/atf_sources/src in the SDK install directory with the extracted files.
