After installing on the network I have run the networkShortcutSetup for different Windows machines to get the shortcuts and I get an uninstaller shortcut in the start menu.
However, when attempting to use the uninstall shortcut, nothing happens.
The uninstall shortcut for network installation is being created incorrectly.
A sample incorrect uninstall shortcut is below:
X:\Install_Win\.xin\Vivado_2016.3\xuninstall.exe -Uninstall -INSTALLATION_DATA_FILE C:\Users\.Xilinx\.network_installs1474280947868\.xinstall\Vivado_2016.3\data\instRecord.dat
The issues are as follows:
This is the only shortcut that does not work. The others are using the correct UNC path.
Note: The uninstall for a network install is only intended to remove the shortcuts that point to the network install. The actual install location should be unaffected because it could be in use by other users.
Therefore the work-around for this issue is to remove each shortcut using the Windows system tools.
This is scheduled to be addressed in Vivado 2017.1.
