The Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC ZCU106 Evaluation Kit hosts a Maxim PMBus based power system, using the MAX15301 and MAX15303 PMBus voltage regulators, and the MAX20751E.
The MAX20751E device can be programmed a limited number of times (4).
An issue has been identified with the maxim component which causes intermittent power failures.
To identify if your boards are affected, use the date code below.
The cutoff date code is 1820 - YYWW (you can identify the date code from the Board Serial Number, for example: 92170013361820-86959).
If a board with a date code of #1820 or earlier has any intermittent power failure due to the Maxim MAX15303 PMBus, please use the XML and directions attached to this Answer Record.
The MAX15301 and MAX15303 PMBus devices on the ZCU106 Evaluation Kit can be reprogrammed.
The MAX20751E devices on the ZCU106 can be programmed a limited number of times (4 times).
To do so, the PowerTool MAXPOWERTOOL002# USB-to-PMBUS interface dongle is required, together with the PowerTool software.

Please find the script needed to reprogram the ZCU106 attached, together with important instructions to follow.
Using these files, you will target the MAX15301 and MAX15303 devices.
This gives you the option to skip programming the 2 MAX20751 devices which only support up to 4 re-programming cycles.
The MAX20751 devices do not need to be updated.
