HDMI Receiver Subsystem v2.0 and v3.0 - The RX timing Vfp, Hfp, Htotal, Vtotal, and frame rate are not correct when 4kp50 (VIC106) is received

Description

The RX timing Vfp, Hfp, Htotal, Vtotal, and frame rate are not correct when 4kp50 (VIC106) is received.

i.e. When 4kp50 (VIC106) is received, RX timing Vfp, Hfp, Htotal, Vtotal, and frame rate are not correct.


 

Solution

This is a known issue in the current HDMI RX Subsystem IP where the max supported size is 1024.

Anything larger than this will cause a rollover in the count and result in the incorrect value being returned.

  • Vivado 2017.2 - Users can download the HDMI Receiver Subsystem platform from (Xilinx Answer 69498) to work around this issue.
  • Vivado 2017.3 - Users can download the HDMI Receiver Subsystem platform from (Xilinx Answer 69869) to work around this issue.
  • Vivado 2017.4 - This issue will be resolved in the HDMI Receiver Subsystem in Vivado 2017.4 and later.

Users should update to the latest version of the IP.
