4.2i Foundation - If Windows NT was pre-installed on a computer, that PATH variable may need to be manually updated

Keywords: path, variable, Windows, NT, Compaq, Dell, F2.1i

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
If Windows NT was pre-installed on your computer (e.g., Dell, Compaq, etc.), you may need to manually update the PATH variable. If the system property for "automatic user variable expansion" has been set to NONE, the system will not automatically expand the %XILINX% variable in the path.

You may resolve this issue by modifying the path variable as follows:

1. Right-click on "My Computer" and select "Properties".
2. In the System Properties dialog box, select the Environment tab.
3. Select the PATH variable that includes %XILINX%.
4. Change "%XILINX%" to the value that it represents (e.g., C:\FNDTN).
