DMA Subsystem for PCI Express (Vivado 2017.4) - c2h_dsc_byp_ready may deassert permanently in Descriptor Bypass mode

When operating the DMA Subsystem for PCI Express IP in DMA mode with the "descriptor bypass" option enabled, c2h_dsc_byp_ready might de-assert permanently.

Solution

This is a known issue to be fixed in a future release of the core. 

To fix the issue in Vivado 2017.4, please install the tactical patch attached. 

For instructions on installing the patch, please check the instructions in the 'patch_readme' directory in the attached patch file.

Note: the "Version Found" column lists the version the problem was first discovered.

The problem also exists in earlier versions, but no specific testing has been performed to verify earlier versions.
