UHD-SDI GT v2.0 – Why is the QPLL1 not connected to UHD-SDI GT on GTY at 12G-SDI?

Description

In my design I have selected GTYE4 as the GT type and 12G-SDI for the line-rate.

However QPLL1 is not connected to the UHD-SDI GT even though QPLL1 is selected in the GUI.






Solution

This is a known issue in both Vivado 2019.2 and Vivado 2020.1. This issue occurs when GTY is selected.
  • Vivado 2019.2 users can download the UHD-SDI GT Patch from (Xilinx Answer 73173) to work around this issue.
  • Vivado 2020.1 users can download the UHD-SDI GT Patch from (Xilinx Answer 75505) to work around this issue.

This issue is planned to be fixed in the Vivado 2020.2 release, see the change log to confirm.
