AR# 75893: 2020.2 Versal ACAP: Ethernet does not work after subsystem restart in either SD or QSPI bootmodes
2020.2 Versal ACAP: Ethernet does not work after subsystem restart in either SD or QSPI bootmodes
When booting a Versal ACAP target in either SD or QSPI bootmodes, Ethernet stops working after issuing a subsytem restart. Ethernet behavior is different depending on where the subsystem restart is issued:
Case 1: if a subsystem restart is issued from XSDB during the U-boot stage, Ethernet continues to work without issues in U-boot after the subsystem restart.
Case 2: if the target is booted all the way to Linux and a subsystem restart is then issued from Linux, Ethernet no longer works when U-boot comes up again.
This is a known issue for Versal ACAP devices and no solution currently exists.
This issue is planned to be fixed in the 2021.1 release.
