Embedded World 2017: Driver Monitoring System for Zynq - Presented by Xylon

This demonstration shows real-time head and eyelid tracking combined with precision gaze direction measurement, allowing reliable driver attention and driver state detection under a wide range of challenging real-world conditions. Driver Monitoring System (DMS) is a critical element to a safe transition toward automated driving (AD) as it becomes imperative for AD systems to have knowledge of a driver’s ability to take back control of the vehicle as accident prevention. The Xylon DMS, enabled on the Xilinx Zynq SoC, is a mature, automotive qualified platform that provides the flexibility required to optimize system partitioning for vision processing performance at an affordable cost and relatively low power profile.
