What is the power consumption of VCCAUX? What is ICCAUX?

Additionally, each DCM at maximum frequency consumes ~30 mA max (this is the worst case, since not all DCMs are running at 420 MHz). Values of up to 300 mA have been measured in large parts. For Virtex-II and Virtex-II Pro devices, budget your designs with a 600 mA capacity in mind.


  1. Since VCCAUX is also used in the differential I/Os, the dynamic current is more than the quiescent current when I/Os are switching. The budget noted above includes differential I/O usage.
  2. Quiescent current is characterized for the entire chip. VCCAUX is not divided into banks.
  3. Differential inputs listed above include any input with a differential op-amp. This includes any inputs with a VREF requirement (GTL, HSTL, SSTL, AGP) and the differential I/O (LVDS, LVPECL, LDT).
