When I upload (migrate) an IP core created with CORE Generator to Vivado by adding the .xco file into sources, I receive an error similar to the following:
What does this mean?
Can I still use this IP in Vivado?
This warning states that the IP definition used to create the IP core does not exist in the Vivado IP catalog.
As a result, Vivado is unable to modify, re-generate or upgrade the IP core.
However, you can still use the existing IP core in the Vivado project as long as you have the original output files of the core (.v, .vhd .ngc, .edn etc.) in the same directory as the .xco file.
Vivado will add these output files into sources and then pass them to Synthesis and Implementation.
