For 28 years, Sital has supplied data bus interfaces to military/aerospace, industrial and automotive customers. Sital’s interfaces include solutions for MIL-STD-1553, CAN bus, ARINC-429, EBR-1553, 16PP194 and H009 data buses.

Sital’s IP cores instantiated on SoC/MPSoC FPGAs such as Zynq Ultrascale+ enable reduced SWaP-C solutions for 1553 and other buses. Sital’s processor-to-1553 cores provide register and memory compatibility with DDC’s Micro-ACE and Total-ACE. Sital offers other 1553 cores including simple RTs and for mitigating SEU for space applications.

For use with its IP, Sital offers software drivers, including for PetaLinux, VxWorks®, Linux, Green Hills’ INTEGRITY®-178 and “Bare Metal” (no OS). Sital’s drivers provide an industry standard API/library with OS-specific drivers and interfaces to FPGA interconnect buses such as AXI.

In addition to IP and software, Sital also offers 1553 components, boards, testers, transceivers, transformers and couplers. Sital’s transceivers provide the industry’s lowest power dissipation and include a closed-loop mechanism for eliminating residual voltages, aka dynamic offset or “tails”.

Another Sital solution is its Safe and Secure (SnS) technology. By means of enhanced physical layer monitoring, SnS detects instances of cyber “spoofing” (impersonation) violations. SnS can also detect and locate intermittent or continuous open or short circuit faults in cables, connectors, couplers, terminators or connected LRUs. Sital can supply its products with DO-254 and DO-178 certifiability up to and including DAL A, with a third-party company providing the DO-254 and DO-178 artifacts. Sital also offers its SVIVADO service for integrating its IP and software on SoC /MPSoC FPGAs. SVIVADO, which leverages Vivado and Vitis tools, benefits customers by reducing FPGA system integration times. This allows them to more immediately focus on their areas of higher-level hardware and software value-add.
