This session is for FPGA Developers and their end users who are interested in targeting acceleration capability embedded near storage. The session will introduce Samsung SmartSSD and the three levels at which end users and developers can utilize it. We will present the two-device model created by Samsung and embraced by some large cloud companies. Developers primarily experienced in developing for standalone accelerators will find an easy introduction to extending their skill into the storage world. Developers skilled in storage will get an easy introduction to developing and exploiting acceleration IPs. One of the Samsung IP developers will illustrate the design flow by sharing their own experience.
